Event: Loews Regency West Meets East

Loews Regency invited myself and a few other photographers to host a West Coast meets Easts Coast Instameet in the top floor suites of their gorgeous luxury hotel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

It was such a wonderful evening of meeting some of NYC's top photographers, taking cityscape photos from the balconies and modeling too, all while sipping on champagne. It was so nice to make new East Coast friends in the photography industry!

A handful of us were welcomed to stay at the hotel for the weekend and from the extra large marble shower and bottle of chilled white wine waiting for us, to the Park Avenue views and friendly staff, I felt like a VIP for our entire visit.

A few photos from the event are below for your viewing pleasure, and I've added a new NYC section in my travel portfolio with other shots I snagged during my time exploring the city.

Shoot: Jord Watches

When Jord reached out and asked me to photograph one of their wood watches, I couldn't wait to shoot for them. Since the watch they sent is made almost entirely of dark wood, it fit perfectly into my outdoor aesthetic and felt natural to photograph on my various travels this summer.

Here's a few of the final images I got with it, taken in Olympic National Park and along the stretch of Highway One between San Francisco and Santa Cruz.

Feature: Social Print Studio

Last winter, I ordered a book of photos from my trip to New Zealand from local printing start-up Social Print Studio. Shortly after, Social Print contacted me saying they loved the book I put together so much that they wanted to use it for their promo photography for a new product.

I'm excited to share that my New Zealand images are now up on their online shop

Looking forward to getting another photo book to commemorate my Iceland trip soon.

Shoot: Canvas Styling

Kimberly and Megan, the dynamic duo behind SF Bay Area personal styling company Canvas Styling, reached out and asked me to take some photos for their blog post on travel style. I of course said yes, and the three of us ended up having so much fun working together!

I love collaborating with creatives in other lines of work to see their unique perspective at setting up an image. Kimberly and Megan have such an incredible eye for putting pieces together that it was a great learning experience on styling outside of my landscape and portraiture comfort zone.

Check out their blog post using the photos here.

FEATURE: Interview on The Daily Duffel

Travel start-up Overnight asked to interview me for their online magazine, The Daily Duffel, and I could not be happier with the result! It was so much fun chatting with them about my favorite San Francisco spots to take photos as well as some of my craziest travel memories, and they captured my personality and photography aesthetic perfectly.

In all honestly, when they sent me the final mock up and I saw they wrote, "We're calling it now - Kelsey's career is one to watch," my heart skipped a beat.

Event: Priime Party @ Gauntlet Gallery

I was honored to have two of my photos on display at Priime's Launch Party gallery show! It was incredible to see my work in print at Gauntlet Gallery in the Tenderloin next to the work of so many talented artists I have major respect for.

After submitting a few photos edited with Priime Styles (I've started to incorporate the Priime Mac app into my editing workflow since it integrates with Lightroom) for possible inclusion in the show, I ended up being one of only two photographers to have two photos selected. It was a super fun night of meeting new faces and hanging out with old friends!

Huge thank you to the Priime team for putting on this event and supporting local photographers!
